Hatters are urged to Cash in at Norwich

New Hatters coach Stuart Cash believes Town can cause one of the upsets of this season’s FA Cup on Saturday, writes Mike Simmonds.

Luton travel to Norwich City for their fourth round tie and Cash said: “Someone rung me up and said that this game would have been on the coupon a few years ago and he’s not wrong at all.

“There is no pressure on us and shocks can happen in the competition.

“We need to play at our very best and they need to have an off day though.

“It wouldn’t be one of the biggest shocks in the competition because of the size of the club. We’re looking forward to it though as if the players can’t enjoy playing these kinds of games they shouldn’t be involved in football.”

Meanwhile, the club have received £1,500 in donations made to SoLYD from supporters purchasing tickets ahead of Saturday’s FA Cup fourth round tie at Carrow Road.

Donations were even made by Norwich fans who felt the Hatters deserved to receive more revenue from the tie.

Town managing director Gary Sweet told the club’s website: “It’s a great figure and I must thank those supporters who took the time to email in their thoughts to us and, of course, to those who donated – including those from Norwich.

“We are pleased that SoLYD will receive a sizeable donation, and it further underlines our supporters’ feeling towards our highly-acclaimed youth academy.”
