Hatters agree deal to sign un-named defender but Klukowski bid rejected

LUTON Town have agreed to sign an un-named centre-half while seeing their £50,000 bid for Forest Green Rovers midfielder Yan Klukowski rejected, writes Mark Wood.

The News/Gazette revealed last week that Luton had tabled a bid for the 25-year-old midfielder who scored 18 times last season for Rovers, including against the Hatters, and who has just signed a new two-year deal at the New Lawn.

But Sweet revealed the Hatters are closing in on a number of new signings.

He said: “There will be announcements to be made in the near future about new players coming into the club.”
