Harriers keeping fingers crossed that Luton tie beats the weather

LUTON Town’s FA Trophy tie at Kidderminster Harriers tomorrow remains in the balance due to the freezing temperatures currently sweeping the country.

A statement on Harriers official website said: “A panel referee, in conjunction with the match referee, has this afternoon inspected the playing surface at Aggborough ahead of tomorrow’s FA Trophy clash with Luton Town.

“Temperatures have risen slightly and gradually over the course of the day and as such the majority of the surface is in good condition - though as ever the South Stand end is a little firmer.

“The club is giving the game every possible chance of going ahead and as such any final decision will be delayed until the morning, with heaters on standby if required.

“Much depends, of course, on the kindness of overnight conditions in Kidderminster, so it’s a case of ‘fingers crossed’ for now.”
