Happy Hatters relish break from league campaign

LUTON boss Gary Brabin felt his side revelled in the lack of pressure on them during Saturday’s 3-0 FA Trophy victory over Gateshead, writes Mike Simmonds.

A refreshingly positive Town produced their best performance at home since the 5-0 win over Kettering on Boxing Day as they looked free of the shackles that have come with chasing the likes of Wrexham and Fleetwood this season.

Brabin said: “It does take a little bit of the pressure off when you’re catching teams and I know we’ve done that the last couple of years.

“It’s not nice when you have to catch teams, especially when they keep grinding out results and it does get a little bit frustrating.”
