Hand charged over Twitter remarks

FORMER Hatters midfielder Jamie Hand has been charged by the FA for comments made on Twitter last week, writes Mark Wood.

The 28-year-old had been involved in a number of exchanges with Hatters supporters during Hayes & Yeading’s 4-2 defeat on Easter Monday and made an obscene gesture to fans during the game.

He then took to Twitter to continue trading insults with Town supporters, who reported him to the FA.

An FA spokesman, speaking exclusively to the Luton News said: “Jamie Hand has been charged for misconduct in relation to Twitter comments.”
