Half time rollicking does the trick for Buckle

A half time rollicking from Town boss Paul Buckle saw Hatters see off a spirited Southport challenge at the weekend, writes Mike Simmonds.

Town had taken an early lead for the first time in five games when Stuart Fleetwood curled in a glorious effort on four mintes.

Howerever, the hosts saw them tempo drop dramatically as Andre Parry equalised moments before the break, as Buckle left an audibly frustrated Kenilworth Road with a look of real intent.

He was quick to pass on his thoughts to the players in no uncertain terms too as the boss said: “At half time I got into them, I didn’t mince my words, it was a case of liven them up, and I did liven them up.”
