Luton ended their pre-season campaign with a 4-2 win at Thurrock on Monday night, to make it eight wins out of 10 and Guttridge said: “From what I’ve seen, there is a buzz around the place.

“Luton Town has definitely got more potential than 70/80 per cent of League Two clubs and probably League One.

“It speaks volumes for clubs, but talk is cheap. We want to get promoted, we want to win the league, but saying and doing it is two different things.”

Guttridge has been impressed with the squad put together by boss John Still and after penning a two-year deal believes if Town can get it right this year, there is no end to their progress.
