Griffiths relishing pre-season under Town boss Still

Town defender Scott Griffiths knows exactly what to expect when the squad reports back for their pre-season under new boss John Still, writes Mike Simmonds.

Town’s manager spoke last week of the shock his players will be greeted with when they return after their summer break.

On what it will be like, Griffiths, who was with Still for six years at former club Dagenham & Redbridge, said: “It’s extremely tough. Put it simply, you will have to be a fitter team than us in the last 20 minutes to beat us without a doubt.

“After the pre-seasons that I’ve had in the past, going away to other clubs and doing their pre-season, and then seeing how it is in comparison with what John Still does, I’ve never felt as fit going into the start of season.”
