Defender Scott Griffiths believes Hatters are displaying all the hallmarks of a title-winning squad, writes Mike Simmonds.

The 27-year-old has the experience to back up the claim too, winning the Conference title with Dagenham & Redbridge, while he was a League Two champion while on loan at Chesterfield too.

Griffiths said: “Everyone’s got a buzz about them and you can always tell when a team is going to do good things, so hopefully it seems this year will be one of those years.

“It’s the way players interact with each other on a banter level. The closer you are the stronger the bond is.

“There’s definitely a high confidence. It showed in the way we played and on Tuesday (against Villa), the general atmosphere around the changing room.”

Griffiths was reunited with former Daggers boss John Still when he joined Hatters at the end of last season and penned a new one-year deal during the summer.

With Still bringing assistant boss Terry Harris and fitness coach Dave Richardson with him from east London, the full back is hoping to settle down once more and has been delighted to see the backroom additions.
