Greg grabs Hatters chance with ‘both hands’

Committed Hatter Greg Taylor is hoping he can hold on to his shirt after grabbing his opportunity against Wolves with ‘both hands’, writes Mark Wood.

The 22-year-old left-back has endured a frustrating season, losing his place in the team following the 3-0 defeat at Alfreton in September.

That was followed by a two-month loan spell at Conference rivals Tamworth and, although he returned to the club a month ago he was yet to figure until Saturday’s thrilling 1-0 victory over Championship Wolves.

Taylor played a starring role in that triumph and, on his hopes for the future, he said: “I would like to be a Luton Town player. I would like to play here, I would like to cement down the left-back spot. I like playing here, but like I say all I can do is get my head down and work and if more opportunities come I’m going to grab them with both hands.

And, after an impressive performance, he was hoping to hold on to his place for tonight’s league visit of Barrow, saying: “We’ll see what happens and I suppose it’s up to the manager.”
