Gray hopes to be refreshed after England C duty

Livewire Luton striker Andre Gray is hoping he has returned refreshed from his trip to Jordan with England C and reinvigorated for Town’s final promotion run-in, writes Mark Wood.

The 22-year-old played 45 minutes last week as England won 1-0 against Jordan in The King Abdullah Stadium in Amman.

On the trip, he said: “It was good to get away and take my mind off the league for a bit, because obviously it is a lot of pressure at times because we want to win and it’s good just to step back from it a bit and just take a look back at the season and kind of just recharge the batteries a little bit off the field and stuff like that and relax.

“Obviously we had to train and play a game, but it was good to see different things and experience different things because you can take it out on the pitch here and express yourself a bit more.”
