With six games to go, Luton, who were widely tipped as favourites for the title this year, face a battle to finish in the top half of the table after losing 2-1 to Kidderminster on Saturday.

Gray said: “We’re not happy where we are, struggling to get into the play-offs and that’s not good enough.

“I think we need to look at them (Kidderminster) and Mansfield and try to get that level of consistency.

“In the last half an hour (on Saturday), I think we dominated and could have got a few more goals, it wasn’t to be and I think they showed why they are where they are.”
