Gray admits that Still’s tough love is paying off

Tough love from Hatters boss John Still is reaping its reward according to rejuvenated Town striker Andre Gray, writes Mark Wood.

The in-form striker hit his first Hatters hat-trick in Saturday’s 4-1 win over lowly Hyde as he looks to be getting back to hit best.

Gray, 22, has been in and out of the team this season, often having to make an impact from the bench. And, although having been frustrated by the decision, he now accepts it was the right one.

He said: “Obviously I was frustrated but now I look back at it, it’s made we work harder, made me want it more and know that I need to keep my place in the team and keep scoring goals.
