The 19-year-old centre-half was signed on loan until the end of the season by boss John Still and has been showing an upward curve in his performances as part of improving team displays.

He said: “I’d certainly consider it. If I can’t get into the squad at least there, that’s what I want, I want to get out on loan.

“It’s a decent level, decent club, I think it should be higher than what it is. That’s life you’ve got to deal with it and next year hopefully they can get up into the League.”

Playing alongside experienced defender Steve McNulty is also helping with his development, as the Goodman continued: “It’s very good, especially from my development as youngster coming through, I need an experienced player next to me and Macca’s certainly that.”

Town boss John Still admitted he could be interested in a deal, adding: “I’d like to. They won’t let him go but we might do a long-term loan on him.”
