Gleeson satisfied with clean sheet

KEEPING a clean sheet was a massive plus for the Hatters at Alfreton on Saturday after leaking two goals from set-pieces in each of their last two games, writes Mark Wood.

Missed chances should have won the Hatters the game, but returning full-back Dan Gleeson was keen to concentrate on the positives.

He said: “A draw at the end of the day is disappointing, but having come away with a draw and kept a clean sheet we will go into Tuesday with a few positives.”

“I think if we take one of our chances, then we go on and start to play our football a little bit more, have a bit more of an affect on the game and go and win by a comfortable margin.

“But fair play to Alfreton, they know what they are doing, they know what they are good at, they dug in.”
