George believes Town should persevere with youth

He said: “I would have hoped they would get back four years ago, bounce straight back.

“It’s a tough league, I think the Town are now starting to realise that. We thought we could bounce straight back, but with hard work and determination we can.

“I think the club deserves it, other clubs will say their club deserves it, but I think it’s a club that’s had some harsh times. We’ve been unfairly treated.

“We need to get back in the Football League. We need to start showcasing our local talent because I think there’s some fantastic footballers in this area.

“Even some coming through the first team at the moment, JJ O’Donnell, Adam Watkins, great players that deserve to be playing at the higher echelons of football.”
