Franks wants Town to take momentum into League Two

Hatters defender Fraser Franks believes momentum could be key for Town as they attempt to secure a second successive promotion next season.

Town romped to the Skrill Premier title, winning a mightily impressive 30 of their 46 league games, losing on just five occasions.

The likes of Stevenage and Crawley have both gone straight through League Two in recent years and Franks feels Town have a good chance of emulating the duo’s achievements.

He said: “I don’t see why we can’t go in there and compete well.

“We’ve got some good momentum, we know how to win games as a squad, so hopefully, we can carry on from where we left off.

“Winning’s a habit and we won a lot of games last year.”

Town’s odds have been made as low as 9/1 by some bookmakers as they are one of the early favourites for promotion.

With the likes of Portsmouth, Oxford and Plymouth Argyle in the division, Luton won’t be the only stand out club, a situation they found themselves during their time in the Conference, although Franks still believes they will be viewed as one of the big fish.
