Former Town boss Brabin fails in court challenge

Ex-Luton boss Gary Brabin has failed with his appeal to overturn a conviction for using threatening behaviour, writes Mark Wood.

The incident occurred at Bootham Crescent on April 19, 2011, as Luton were beaten 1-0 by York City.

The 41-year-old will now have to pay the prosecution’s appeal costs of £750 on top of the £1,315 he was ordered to pay by district judge Jonathan Bennett following his trial last May.

His hearing took place over two days and was rejected by a judge sitting with two magistrates.
