The 19-year-old netted on the hour mark as the Cottagers signed off from life in the top flight.

Woodrow, who made his Town debut as a 15-year-old in an FA Trophy clash against Welling United, tweeted: “Mixed emotions gutted we are not in the Prem next season but absolutely buzzing to score my first goal for Fulham!!!”

It appears that Woodrow, who has made six appearances for Fulham will have more chance next season in the Championship as Whites boss Felix Magath said: “The team I selected was a sign that we will change something in the future – that we don’t rely on older players.

“We have a good youth academy but they haven’t appeared much in our team. I will take care of the young players and bring them into the team.”
