Former Hatter joins Dunstable Town

DUNSTABLE Town have completed the stellar signing of former Luton Town midfielder Peter Holmes, writes Mike Simmonds.

The 30-year-old made over 100 appearances for the Hatters between 2000-2007, and was still playing Blue Square Bet Premier football last campaign, where he was skipper at Hayes & Yeading.

Blues manager John McLoughlin explained how the move came about for the Molten Spartan SML Premier Division side.

He said: “Peter negotiated a deal with us and in fairness to Peter, he’s now got his own business around the area and wants to put something back into the community.

“I’ve known Peter from my days when I was at Luton too, Dean Brennan is his best mate, so it all came together quite nicely.”
