Finishing line finally in sight for hopeful Henry

THE finishing line is finally in sight for winger Charlie Henry after he completed his first 90 minutes for the Hatters last Tuesday, writes Mike Simmonds.

Henry, 24, took to the field in a specially arranged friendly with Evo-Stik Southern Premier side St Neots Town and was in impressive form throughout on the left wing.

On joining the club back in November, the former Town youngster suffered a detached ligament in his foot and admitted coming back from the serious injury had proved a hard slog. He said: “When I found out the bad news that I was going to be out for long time I was down and it was getting me down all the time.

“From the summer really, it’s been a straight long road. I can see the finish line and have been working really hard in training.”
