Financial regulations could benefit Hatters

Luton are by far the best supported club in the division with their average attendances nearly twice that of their nearest competitors and Hatters managing director Gary Sweet is hopeful that could work to their advantage.

He said: “There are some better financial regulations which effectively mean that every club has to go forward with a break even budget for the forthcoming season and if not they will have some embargoes and restrictions placed upon them.

“It could mean that our main competitors can’t quite get away with some of the things they’ve done in the past.”
