Ferdinand found Town’s interest too hard to resist

On-loan midfielder Kane Ferdinand admitted that it was difficult saying ‘no’ when Town manager John Still came calling, writes Mike Simmonds.

The 21-year-old agreed to join Hatters on loan from League One Peterborough United until the end of the season late last week after a chat with the Town boss.

Ferdinand said: “He was very nice and made the move very appealing. He mentioned the way that the club’s been so good recently, they are on this unbeaten run, so it was hard to say no to a club that’s doing so well.

Despite playing 32 times in the Championship for Posh last season, this term has seen Ferdinand fall out of favour at London Road.

He spent a month at Northampton earlier this term, but returned to make three substitute appearances for his parent club over Christmas.

Ferdinand wasn’t fazed at the prospect of a first taste of non-league football though and is now planning on becoming a first team regular during his stint.
