Fearless Dance won’t change his game

FEARLESS James Dance is refusing to let the horrific injury he suffered against Hendon Town in the FA Cup ruin his game, writes Mark Wood.

Manager Gary Brabin said the winger had been left looking like the ‘elephant man’ after that injury, but the 24-year-old midfielder didn’t shirk a challenge as he put in a fantastic performance in the 1-1 draw at Cambridge United just three weeks after suffering the injury.

He said: “I’m quite pleased with myself to be fair. I think the training’s helped me to get it out of my system. I trained a bit on the Thursday after I had the op and then the Friday and came back in on the Monday and was raring to go. The lads have all been a bit careful and that’s probably helped.”
