Ex-Town trainee Sinclair believes Salisbury more than matched Luton

Play-off-chasing Whites matched Town throughout as they enjoyed more possession and created more chances as the match eventually finished goalless.

He said: “The gaffer was saying we matched them, I feel like we did that and more and we were saying that in the changing rooms as a group of lads we matched them and we did more.

“Rob, my brother, spoke to one of the Luton lads and they said that’s probably the first game where a team has matched Luton the whole 90 minutes. They might have matched them for 45, but we matched them for the whole 90 so it’s good.”

And he believes City, who are just three points off the play-offs, can still make the top five if they can find some better away form.

He added: “It’s been a bit of a rollercoaster hasn’t it the last five or six or seven games, it’s been a loss, win, loss, win.

“I think if we can take our home form and this 0-0 and take it into the away form I think we’ve got a great chance.

“I think we’ve got 11 games left now and if we can do that away from home we’ve got a massive, massive chance.

“It’s consistency and our home form is very consistent and if we can put that into our away form then we’re going to be in or thereabouts come the end of the season.

“There’s loads of positives, you look at it, the fans, you look at the result and we could have nicked it to be fair.

“So there’s loads of positives and it’s good so let’s just keep building for the last 11 games of the season.”
