LAST season it was Lloyd Owusu raising the roof and Claude Gnakpa’s dance steps, this year it looks like Stuart Fleetwood’s elbow slap will be the latest craze sweeping Kenilworth Road, writes Mike Simmonds.

The move was made famous by BBC comedy Angry Boys and after promising on Twitter he would unveil the celebration if he scored, Fleetwood kept his word in the 71st minute when he put the game beyond Darlington on Saturday with a neat header.

He said: “It was nice to bring it out, so hopefully I can get a few more.

“It’s just a stupid little thing. I’m into my comedy programmes and it’s just a little bit of a stupid character off there.

“I like to try and bring a bit of fun to my celebrations, so I’ll be keeping that for a little bit.”
