Ed ready to cement his Luton place

TOWN defender Ed Asafu-Adjaye is determined to keep a firm hold of his place in the Hatters side, writes Mike Simmonds.

The 23-year-old started the season in the first team, but dropped out of the reckoning for large periods due to a combination of loss form and injury.

He has now started the last four league and cup games though and wants to remain a permanent fixture, especially with Curtis Osano fit-again once more.

Asafu-Adjaye said: “It’s been an up and down season for me. There’s always someone who wants your place and there’s no chance of being complacent. I’ve got no intention of letting it slip.

“I’m sure the gaffer knows that I want this position. I’ve told him that I want this position and I’ll keep working hard to make it mine.

“While I was not necessarily in favour and coming back from injury, it took me a little while to focus on what I needed to do to get in the side.”
