Drury in the dark over his Ipswich future

Ex-Hatters star Andy Drury is in the dark about his Ipswich Town future as he enters the final year of his deal.

Ten of the Tractor Boys playing staff are in the same position and are unsure whether they will be offered the chance to stay beyond this campaign or be transferred in cut-price deals come January.

Drury, 28, who moved to Portman Road from Luton for £150,000 in January 2011, said: “I have been in the game long enough to know not to look ahead.

“I have had one-year deals near enough wherever I have been. Whatever will be, will be – that’s the way I look at it.

“I like the club and it is somewhere I would like to stay for a few seasons but sometimes, as a player, it is not always in your hands.

“The club have got an option on me, dependant on games. It is not something I am worrying about, I will just carry on playing my football.”
