Town’s youngsters finished third in the Youth Alliance last campaign, while they were knocked out of the FA Youth Cup at the first round stage by Stevenage.

Driver is aiming for better this time though as he said: “I think we’ve got to say we need to be getting to the third round of the FA Youth Cup at least.

“In the league, we finished third last year, that’s got to the barest minimum this year too.

“There’s also a cup competition for the league that clashes with the FA Youth Cup preliminary rounds for us.

“We’re now looking to get through the group stages and one of the rounds to get into regional quarter-finals.”
