Dance set to face surgery?

VERSATILE midfielder James Dance looks set to face surgery after Town boss Gary Brabin revealed his ankle injury is as bad as they feared, writes Mark Wood.

Although still awaiting final clarification, he said: “I’ll wait for confirmation, but I know what the situation is.

“It is as bad as we first thought and we’ll have a little look at that when the report comes through.”

Joint top scorer Amari Morgan-Smith remains sidelined with a hamstring injury while full-back Dan Gleeson is still out, with Brabin saying: “He (Morgan-Smith) is still struggling with that one. It’s something we will have to assess over the next week or two. Glees is still struggling.”

But there is better news on attacker Dan Walker, with the Luton boss adding: “He’s back training which is a big plus. He is out on the field and running but he is still a week, 10 days away from doing some ball work. We are delighted he is making progression and we will see what the next week 10 days brings.”
