Dance hoping momentum is with Luton

INJURED winger James Dance believes that the momentum is with Luton as they look to secure the result needed to reach the Blue Square Bet Premier play-offs at Fleetwood Town this afternoon, writes Mike Simmonds.

A draw will be enough for Hatters to ensure a top five finish and although he can play not part, Dance said: “Momentum is a big thing. The games are so thick and fast that I don’t think you can get too carried away.

“Confidence is high, but we’re keeping our feet firmly on the ground. No-one wanted to leave it this late to secure a play-off place, so we’re not going to kid ourselves, we can’t rush anything.”

Fleetwood will pick up their Conference trophy before the game again Luton, the second season running Town will have to witness the champions lifting some silverware.

Dance was on the other side of events last season, when as a Crawley player he lifted the title and added: “Crawley got the trophy last year against Luton and a few of the fans have said there was a bit of a hostile relationship between the two teams.

“It will be good to give them (Fleetwood) a little send off message and say we’ll see you again in a few months.”
