Dance hopes to stay injury free for Hatters

Returning midfielder James Dance hopes to have seen the last of the treatment table after finally overcoming a serious foot injury, writes Mike Simmonds.

The 25-year-old has had no luck since moving to Kenilworth Road, fracturing his cheekbone and then needing two operations to cure his ankle problem.

He was on the bench for the FA Cup ties with Nuneaton, getting on for the final seconds of the 2-0 win last Tuesday, his first action since January 18.

Dance said: “I don’t want to be called a sicknote. Three operations in the space of a year isn’t nice, but it just makes you more determined and work that bit harder every day.”
