Dance faces lay off

TOWN boss Gary Brabin won’t rush midfielder James Dance back after confirming the summer signing broke his cheekbone against Hendon last month, writes Mike Simmonds.

The former Crawley Town midfielder had featured in every game so far, but picked up the injury while heading home his third goal in Luton colours during the FA Cup tie.

Brabin said: “He’s going to be getting a plate in his face, so I’m disappointed for him.

“He’s had an operation and then they’ll give him a time for the healing process.

“There’s also the confidence issue whenever a player has an injury like that, you have to see how they feel.

“There’s all the masks these days, but we’re not that far down the line to see how bad the break was and how long the recovery will be.”
