Crawley reject Hatters approach for Drury

Luton Town have failed in their attempts to sign Crawley Town midfielder Andy Drury.

Hatters boss John Still admitted in today’s News/Gazette that he had made an enquiry for Drury, who spent eight months at Kenilworth Road during the 2010-11 season.

But Crawley chief executive Michael Dunford told the club’s official website they had rejected Hatters’ advances for a player with a year left to run on his contract.

Dunford said: “We have rejected Luton’s approach because we have absolutely no wish to sell Andy.

“He is an integral part of John Gregory’s plans for next season and a very important member of our squad.”
