Centurion Gray left frustrated on his 100th Hatters appearance

The 22-year-old striker came closest to breaking the deadlock in the first half when he smacked the post with a fabulous 30-yard effort, while keeper Willem Puddy did just enough to thwart him in the second half after going through one-on-one with him.

Gray said: “I feel the lads are frustrated, I think we are so used to winning now that sometimes when we come away with a 0-0 draw you get frustrated, especially the front four.

“Obviously it’s a great point and it’s another point gained and we’re not losing, so as long as we keep like that we should do it.

“They’re a very stubborn side, they’re organised and they were hard to break down at times.

“I didn’t feel very threatened, but it was just a case of if we could just get the quality today to just get someone in and just get that clear chance, but it wasn’t to be.

“Conditions weren’t the best, it was a good pitch, but it was quite sticky and slippy at the top as well because there was a shortage of grass, but it was the same for both teams and I think it was just one of them days today.”
