Brill backs McFarlane-Barnes for the future

Hatters keeper Dean Brill thinks youth team keeper Ben McFarlane-Barnes will gain valuable experience with his stint in the first team squad, writes Mike Simmonds.

The 17-year-old has been on the bench for the last three games with first choice stopper Mark Tyler suffering from a back spasm and Brill said: “I hope he’s gained some experience from coming and watching.

“We’ve got a good goalkeeping pool at Luton and he’s definitely one to watch.

“I’ll chat with him, Tyles (Mark Tyler) does, and hopefully he’ll take that on in his career.”
