Managing director Gary Sweet confirmed that the club would make back any new signings that Brabin wanted to bring in as long as they were within their budget.
He said: “We’ve always supported any manager fully, but by fully, that doesn’t mean foolishly.
“Fully means within reason, being sensible, we negotiate very carefully.
“We’ve got an ambitious budget this year, but that doesn’t mean it’s silly.”
