Brabin: Craddock rumours were just speculation

SPECULATION linking former Town striker Tommy Craddock with a shock move back to Kenilworth Road on transfer deadline day was wide of the mark according to boss Gary Brabin, writes Mike Simmonds.

The 25-year-old, who made 86 appearances and scored 38 goals for Town, was sold to Oxford United in August 2010.

Injury has restricted him to just eight games this season, but with time running out on last Tuesday, rumours were abounding he was to move back to the Hatters.

Brabin said: “Tommy is still a friend of mine. I speak to Tommy all the time, whether someone’s seen me having a coffee with Tommy or something like that.

“I think he’s a good player, but there’s never ever been any indication, certainly from Oxford that they wanted to loan him out so there’s no truth in that, but I can understand the rumours.”
