Brabin admits offers for Luton stars were easy to turn down

TOWN manager Gary Brabin revealed it was easy to turn down offers for his players on transfer deadline day, writes Mike Simmonds.

Although not naming names, Hatters rejected two bids and two loan requests for members of his squad, one of which Southport boss Liam Watson has since confirmed was a cash offer for Godfrey Poku.

Brabin said: “You hear rumours and interest in certain players and I had conversations with a couple of managers who made offers that I didn’t feel were worthy.

“The offers that came in, we didn’t feel were good enough. They were nothing that blew our mind away or even made us consider it for a second.”
