Boucaud wants decision from Hatters on where his future lies

Hatters midfielder Andre Boucaud has admitted his frustrations at not knowing where his long-term future lies, writes Mike Simmonds.

The 28-year-old is currently on loan at League One Notts County, where he has become a first team regular, making 19 starts and scoring once.

Boucaud played 89 minutes of the 1-0 win over Swindon on Saturday, but confirmed that the fact he doesn’t know where he will be playing when his deal runs out in January is playing on his mind.

He said: “I’m going to be real, it does sometimes. I’m playing every week, I’m doing well and the team’s doing well, but I don’t know where my future is.

“I just want it sorted out, but I haven’t heard anything.

“It’s getting a bit frustrating and I’d like to know if something is going to get sorted.”

Luton boss Paul Buckle confirmed that Town would be looking to recoup a fee for Boucaud whose contract at Kenilworth Road runs out in the summer. He said: “It’s simple for me, it hasn’t changed, he’s a Luton Town player.

“If Notts County want him, they’ll have to come up with the right money for our football club, so it’s crystal clear for me.”
