Boucaud thought he had won it

DISMAYED midfielder Andre Boucaud admitted he thought he had bagged the Hatters an injury-time winner as they were held to a goalless draw at Alfreton on Saturday, writes Mark Wood.

The second half substitute was denied a first-ever headed goal as his attempt was hacked off the line in the 93rd-minute.

Boucaud said: “I thought it was in, but at the end of the day I got up and headed it on target and hoped for the best and the guy got the clearance off the line.

“But it’s just one of them things. We’ve just got to take it into the next game and hopefully we can create that and put it away next time.”
