Boucaud bemused as to why York won’t let him play

NEW signing Andre Boucaud can’t understand why York City are preventing him from playing against them, writes Mark Wood.

Town completed the capture of the 27-year-old midfielder for £25,000 from the Minstermen yesterday, but he won’t be allowed to play against them when they visit Kenilworth Road on March 30 or should the two teams meet in the play-off semi-finals.

He said: “I don’t know why York put that in. If they want to sell me, just sell me.

“I don’t know why they are stopping me playing. At the end of the day as a player you can’t do anything about it.

“It if means I have to miss the game so be it, that’s the way it goes.”
