Boss angered by price hike

HATTERS: Town boss Gary Brabin has expressed his anger with Kettering Town after they raised their ticket prices for the New Year’s Day clash between the two sides.

The Poppies announced recently that they had upped the cost from £12 to £19, leading to Hatters lodging a complaint with the Football Conference as they feel their travelling supporters are being taken advantage of.

When asked if he was disappointed by the decision, Brabin said: “Yeah I am because that’s true support.

“I get angry about it myself because I think people play on the fact that it’s a big club and we’ve got a loyal support who follow them.

People think they can do certain things with prices and can get away with.

“I don’t think that’s fair, but we’ve got good, loyal away support and I don’t think it will deter them from going.”
