Ann downs Northampton as Hatters youngsters triumph

LUTON Town’s U18s made it a hat-trick of victories over Northampton Town this season as they claimed a 1-0 win at Moulton College courtesy of a first half strike from skipper Alasan Ann.

Town boss Paul Driver brought in U16 players Bradley Johnson and Zane Banton to start the game and gain experience in a Luton youth team, which only had three players who will not be eligible to feature in the Youth Alliance next season.

An impressed Driver said: “We did really well with Bradley and Zane playing their first games for us and acquitting themselves well.

“The two centre-halves had their best games of the season against the Northampton strikers who are good players at this level and cause most defences problems.”
