Luton’s defence continues to be the bedrock of their success and despite a wobble in October they have kept an incredible nine clean sheets and unlucky not to make it 10 against Braintree.

Paul Benson took his tally for the season to six with the opener against Braintree and he remains one behind both Andre Gray and Luke Guttridge on six goals in the Conference Premier.

Benson is a 16/1 chance with BetVictor to finish the season as the Conference’s top goalscorer, Gray 20/1 and Guttridge 40/1, in a market headed by Macclesfield’s Connor Jennings at 6/1.

Luton made up valuable ground in the title picture with Kidderminster dropping points away at Macclesfield, as John Still’s men continue to creep up table. The Hatters now lay seven point adrift of Cambridge, who remain 11/10 favourites to finish the season there, Luton and Kidderminster 4/1 second-favourites, Grimsby 9/1, Barnet 16/1 and 40/1 bar those.

With the Hatters out of the FA Cup after a 2-1 defeat away at Welling, they can focus all of their attention on their pursuit for promotion, BetVictor making them 6/4 to be plying their trade in League Two next season.

They take their unbeaten run to the Deva Stadium to face a Chester side on the cusp of relegation, hovering above based on their superior goal difference and just one win from their last six.

BetVictor make Luton a shade of odds-against at 21/20 but it’s hard to see anything but a further three points for John Still’s men; Chester 13/5 and the draw 5/2. They have started to click up front and Paul Benson is the 9/2 favourite to open the scoring, 5/4 to score anytime; he looks the value.

In the double result market Luton are 23/10 for a half time/full time victory, with the both teams to score bet looking a good price to kop at 4/5. Those looking for value in the correct score market can look no further than a Hatters 3-1 win at 18/1.
