All the odds as Hatters host Wrexham

Luton continued their fantastic spell of form with a 5-0 demolition job of Alfreton Town as the Hatters remain in the slipstream of Conference leaders Cambridge, writes BetVictor’s Charlie McCann.

John Still’s men flew out of the traps and were 4-0 up after just 18 minutes, Andre Gray grabbing himself a brace to take his tally for the season to 12.

Cambridge are four points clear at the top with a game in hand and despite crashing out of the FA Cup at home to Sheffield United at the weekend, maintained their 100 per cent league record at the Abbey Stadium with a 3-0 defeat of Macclesfield midweek.

BetVictor make The U’s 4/5 for the title and 4/11 for promotion with the Hatters appearing to be their nearest pursuers, as Luton are now 3/1 for the title and 5/4 for promotion.

Luton and Cambridge are, unsurprisingly, the favourites for the FA Trophy with a full round of matches this weekend; Cambridge the 5/1 favourites, Luton 7/1 and 10/1 the field.

Luton enter Saturday’s clash with Wrexham on a sequence of seven games without defeat and four straight clean sheets.

BetVictor make the home side 4/5 favourites, the Dragons 29/10 and the draw 23/10 but in front of the Kenilworth Road faithful it would be folly to expect anything other than a home win.

The Hatters were quick leaving the blocks against Alfreton and punters expecting a similarly quick-fire start will be tempted in with the 2/1 for the half time/full time double result.

With Luton’s defence being in such fine form the value comes in the correct score market, a 1-0 Hatters win is 9/1, 2-0 11/1 and those fancying a repeat of last week’s 5-0 drubbing can have 100/1 with BetVictor.
