All the odds as Town take on Skelmersdale

The News/Gazette BetVictor column

A great week for Luton Town with the FA Cup third round victory over Championship side Wolves backed up by an emphatic 6-1 success over bottom-of-the-table Barrow on Tuesday night although Wrexham’s late winner at Alfreton was a blow to the Hatters’ title aspirations, writes Charlie McCann.

A trip to Carrow Road beckons later in the month but, ahead of that fourth round tie, Skelmersdale United are the visitors on Saturday in the FA Trophy.

The Hatters are 7/2 favourites to lift the Trophy (Wrexham 4s, Grimsby Town 5s and Gateshead 8s) and 2/13 to beat Skem who play in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League.

The visitors are 11/1 with the draw at 11/2 but this is another cup tie that Luton should progress from although Paul Buckle looks likely to rotate his squad given the Conference game with Telford on Tuesday night.

The Hatters’ will be looking for revenge and the three points against the Shropshire side given Telford won the reverse fixture 1-0 win at Kenilworth Road in a game that saw three red cards back in August.

Luton are 7/2 to win the Conference title with leaders Wrexham 2/1 favourites and Grimsby also 7/2.
