Ainge sets sights on League return with Luton

New signing Simon Ainge capped a whirlwind few days with his full league debut for Town in their 3-1 win over Southport at the weekend, writes Mike Simmonds.

The 24-year-old defender joined on a month’s loan from Conference North side Guiseley on Thursday, before training twice with his new team-mates and then starting in the centre of defence on Saturday afternoon.

Ainge has already experienced the Football League, starting his career with Bradford City, making 18 appearances in just under three years.

He now has every intention of getting back to that level again with Town in the not too distant future.
