Leaders Renhold beat Shefford in goalfest

Mark Reed netted three times and Sheldon Washington once against a hat-trick in reply from Andrew Hayday.

Whilst for second place AFC Oakley M&DH it was their fourth consecutive away victory in winning 4-1 at Ickwell & Old Warden who were losing for the first time this season. Jack Hoogstraten, Robbie Alder, Ali Smith plus a Matt Barnes penalty all finding the back of the net against a lone home reply from Sean Murray.

Now up into third are AFC Kempston Town & Bedford College who won 6-0 at Sandy to record their third away win on the bounce and leave the home side still looking for their first home point. Courtney Boughton was on the scoresheet four times alongside single strikes from Michael Sexton and Joe Price.

Whilst fourth place now belongs to Cranfield United following their 3-2 home win over Wilstead, Martin Holland netting a brace to go alongside a penalty from Craig Cameron against two in reply from Michael Jones, both of which came from the penalty spot.

Over at Weston Park, a first win of the season for Caldecote over Eastcotts AFC by a 3-1 scoreline saw them move off the bottom of the league to be replaced by their hosts who have now lost their last five outings. Dan Fennell, Stewart Haddow and Joe Barker scored the Caldecote goals against one in reply from Aaron Perrett.

It was also a good day on the road for Marston Shelton Rovers who claimed their third away win on the bounce in winning 2-0 at Sharnbrook to move up into sixth.

Jamie Cerminara and Carl Borromeo netted the goals to do the damage and leave their hosts now on a four game losing run and just two places off the bottom of the league table.

Sitting in that second from bottom spot are Elstow Abbey who were beaten 2-1 at home by Ampthill Town Reserves. Ryan Perry plus an own goal did the damage against a lone Abbey reply from Jahi Bingham who had levelled matters at 1-1 just five minutes after Dom Parrella had missed from the penalty spot.

Elsewhere, Pavenham are now unbeaten in their last three starts and the visiting Flitwick Town in their last four outings after their shared the points in a 1-1 draw. James Owen was on the scoresheet for the home side against a Town reply from Josh Reynolds.

Division One supported by Wests Citroen Bedford

With Stevington sitting the afternoon out, AFC Kempston Town & Bedford College Reserves moved back onto the top of the Division One supported by Wests Citroen league table by winning 4-0 at bottom of the table AFC Oakley M&DH Reserves. Anas Bechkoum, Ashley Windridge, Keegan Roberts and Paul Obuch all found the back of the net.

Whilst just goal difference behind them and still 100% for the season are Sundon Park Rangers who were 3-0 home winners over Potton Town who were dropping their first points of the season. An own goal plus strikes from Shaka Anderson and Nash Bennett did the damage.

Having lost their opening three league games Riseley Sports returned to form in style by winning 7-2 at Houghton Athletic. James Gibson with a hat-trick joined on the scoresheet by Elliot Harris and Sam Henman who both netted twice against a home brace in reply via Jordan Thomas.

It was also a good day on the road for Queens Park Crescents who climbed the table into fourth by winning 3-0 at Shefford Town & Campton Reserves. Tony Millioti, Ayaz Hussain and Shaz Satter netted the vital goals.

Bedfordshire FA Intermediate Cup 1st Round

Henlow will now face Riseley Sports in a home round two tie after they ran out 4-1 home victors over Ickleford. James Campbell with a brace was joined on the scoresheet by Keith Milburn and George Renney against a lone reply via John Vooght.

Division Two

The new leaders of the Division Two league table and still unbeaten this season are Cople and Bedford SA who ran out 3-2 winners at Flitwick Town Reserves. Brett Allen, James Munns and Paul Nigro all found the back of the net against Town replies via Andrew Dadd and Ben Ralphs.

Whilst up into third spot are Kempston Hammers Sports following their 2-1 victory at Atletico Europa thanks to strikes from James Gibling and Daniel Havil against one in reply from Cameron Browne.

Just goal difference adrift in fourth spot and still unbeaten this season are Lea Sports PSG who with a single strike from Ryan Durrant won 1-0 at Bedford United.

Division Three

Wixams now find themsleves six points clear at the head of the division three league table and still 100% for the season after winning 4-0 at Caldecote Reserves. Andy Morris, Gaz White, Adam Jellis and Charlie Battams all found the back of the net to do the damage. Whilst Wilstead Reserves are up into third place following their 2-0 home win over Sandy Reserves thanks to a brace of goals from Callum Evans.

The day’s only other game saw Meltis Albion Reserves win for the first time this season with a 4-1 victory at Clifton. Josh St Claire Pierre with a brace joined on the scoresheet by Sylvester Mulenga and Jake Taylor against a lone home reply from Alex Philpott.

Division Four

Still 100% for the season and just goal difference behind leaders Mid Beds Tigers are Stevington Reserves following their 9-3 home victory over Flitwick Town A. Sam Nightingale and Cameron Cain both grabbed hat-tricks to go alongside single strikes from Clinton Tatham, Jamie Endersby and Jordan Clarke, the Town replies coming via Brett Leader twice from the penalty spot and Chris Bull.

Joining the top two on nine points and in third spot are Polonia Bedford who won 2-1 at home to end Westoning Reserves’ perfect record. Filip Otocki opened the scoring in the eighth minute which was doubled 10 minutes later by Bartosz Sekretarski. Then a crazy five minute spell on the hour mark first saw home goalkeeper Piotr Karpiuk keep out a 62nd minute penalty from Jake Shawe before Lewis Cooksley pegged the deficit back to a single goal just two minutes later.

Up into fourth spot are Staughton who were 10-0 home winners over now bottom of the table Henlow Reserves. Lucas Banton scored four times, Mark Darlow and Scott Boswell both grabbing braces to go alongside single strikes from Craig Thomas and Richard Cornall.

Bedfordshire FA Junior Cup 1st Round

Heading the trio of giant-killing winners were Caldecote A of division four who ran out 4-0 home victors over division two Elstow Abbey Reserves to now face a home tie in round two against Wixams. Paul Rannow, Rafe Goodman, Chris Richardson and James Whitmore netted the goals.

Whilst for fellow division four side AFC Kempston Town & Bedford College A it was a 4-3 home win over division three AFC Dunton to earn a second round home tie against Wilstead Reserves. Jessie Sudhu with a hat-trick joined on the scoresheet by Asher McIntosh against replies via Jimmy Fuller, Tony Norman and Kier Banghard.

The third giant-killing act belonged to division three White Eagles who were 4-3 home winners over division two Kempston Athletic. Marchin Ptak was on the scoresheet twice alongside an own goal plus a strike from Michal Michalski to earn a trip to Luton Leagrave in round two. The Athletic replies came via Tony Bossendorfer, Billy Mills and Richie Andrews.

Alas for division three Shefford Town & Campton A it was the heartbreak of a 6-5 penalty shoot-out loss at division two Marston Shelton Rovers Reserves after 90 minutes play had seen the sides deadlocked at 2-2. Garry Russon and Keiran Day the Rovers marksmen against Town replies from Jake Brown and Marcus Rose. Rovers will now visit Clifton in round two.

The biggest winners of the day were Renhold United Reserves who won 11-0 at fellow division three side Dinamo Flitwick to earn a trip to Kempston Hammers Sports in round two. Michael France netted five goals, Nathan France three and they were joined on the scoresheet by single strikes from Josh Cowley, Justin Ludman and Lewis Debenededictis.

Whilst the all division four tie was to go the way of home side Mid Beds Tigers 3-1 over Bedford Albion to earn them a trip to Polinia Bedford in round two. Luke Rudd with a brace and Robert Gaylor seeing their goals only replied to once by Sean Challi for the Albion.

Alas for Wootton Village they had only a strike from Jason Churchman to show from a 4-1 home defeat by Luton District & South Beds League outfit Caddington and also going out to opposition from the same league were Sundon Park Rovers who were beaten 1-0 at FC Spandits Reserves who will now travel to face Sandy Reserves in round Two. It was also the end of the road for Lidlington United Sports who were beaten 3-0 at home by North Bucks League side Southcott Village RA Reserves who will now visit Atletico Europa in round two.
