Bedford Town have signed former Aston Villa youngster Ebby Nelson-Addy from Cambridge City.
The 26-year-old has impressed for City this season, scoring seven times in just 12 league games so far..
Eagles’ boss Jon Taylor said: ”I am extremely glad that we have secured the services of Ebby.
“He has obvious talent, that he has already shown in the league this season, scoring seven goals in 12 appearances for Cambridge, including one against us on Bank Holiday.”
Nelson-Addy also has experience of playing at a higher level.
He was a youth player at Aston Villa and has also had spells at Hartlepool, Worcester City, Brackley Town, and Hemel Hempstead Town.
While at Villa, he played in both legs against Chelsea in the FA Youth Cup Final in 2010.
Meanwhile, Saturday afternoon’s Evo-Stik South Division One Central trip Didcot Town was postponed.
A statement on the Didcot website said: “The game at home to Bedford has been called off for health and safety reasons.
“Following a gas leak which has cut-off our supply at the football club, there is no hot water or heating which has led to the game being postponed for health and safety reasons.”
Eagles will hope for better luck this weekend when they head to Isthmian League South Central Division side Chipstead for their Buildbase FA Trophy second round clash.
